SAMOTHRACE

SICILIAN MICRONANOTECH RESEARCH AND INNOVATION CENTER

We are partners of the Samothrace HUB and the University of Catania. We are participating in the PNRR with three research and development projects.

NEXTHEAL

NEXTHEAL SOLUTION

Nextheal is a multi-tenant software platform designed for private clinics, public hospitals, and private practitioners to manage the following online: patient appointments and medical information, while monitoring data from IoMT devices.

The platform’s core features include: storage of medical record data, management of medical appointments by specialty, online medical appointments, integration of data from IoMT devices, and a tool for updating diagnoses.
This will give the doctor complete control over the patient’s care by centralizing all relevant information, such as: personal and family medical history, lifestyle, and general and specialized medical records. It is also possible to conduct online consultations via virtual rooms and share information using an interactive whiteboard.

GRES

GRES – Renewable Energy Source

Gres is a solution that integrates various energy sources into an energy market, optimizing their use.

Specifically, the project consists of three layers: the first covers all components related to the collection of data on renewable resources and the analysis of weather conditions. The second layer deals with data processing. The third layer pertains to the platform through which the end user will interact with the system.
To serve a community of multi-energy prosumers, a marketplace will be developed that will enable the exchange of energy and flexibility in various forms. Similarly, through the use of a series of sensors and based on weather forecasts, the data will be optimized and processed by artificial intelligence.

SOLUM

SOLUM – Mobility Solution

Solum is a solution designed for traffic control through the management of next-generation microsensors and devices specifically designed for this project.

The platform will enable traffic management and environmental pollution monitoring—including parking guidance—using micro-sensors and cameras supported by artificial intelligence.

Samothrace is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Mission 4, Component 2, Investment 1.5 (supported by the European Union – NextGenerationEU), for the enhancement of research facilities and the creation of R&D “innovation ecosystems,” as well as the establishment of “regional R&D leaders.”

Bcame & Micro and Nano Systems Technology District

Bcameembraces innovation by becoming a member ofthe Sicily Micro and Nano Systems Technology District, aconsortium comprising companies, universities, public and private research institutions, and trade associations.
The Micro and Nano Systems Technology District brings together stakeholders from the local, national, and international innovation ecosystems, contributing to the development of the Sicilian region.

HE-LIX

HE-LIX is a two-year project—developed as part of Samothrace and the CHANGES Foundation—that was launched with the goal of creating a hub for innovation and is divided into two lines of research and development.

CHARM (Cultural Heritage Assessment & risk Management toolkit) è una soluzione che mira a sviluppare, attraverso l’uso di sensori virtuali e di un monitoraggio non invasivo, un sistema tecnologico avanzato per la salvaguardia del patrimonio culturale.
Un aspetto fondamentale del progetto è l’integrazione dell’intelligenza artificiale generativa per elaborare analisi predittive e simulazioni di scenari di rischio legate a fattori climatici o antropici.
L’obiettivo finale è quello di fornire strumenti digitali e dashboard navigabili capaci di generare raccomandazioni mirate per una conservazione preventiva e per interventi di protezione efficaci dei beni monitorati.

GENART is a service that involves the use of the CHARM platform, managed by consultants and specialized company staff.

The goal of the service is to enable the innovation hub to provide public agencies, cultural heritage authorities, cultural heritage managers, and research centers with a predictive and decision-making tool, as well as professional expertise for a variety of purposes:

  • Simulate the evolution of natural or human-induced phenomena (e.g., degradation, hydrogeological risk, climate impact).
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of protection and mitigation plans.
  • Automatically generate visual and text-based reports with strategic recommendations.
